Dear Friends,
Fathers Day is a time to recognize the unsung heroes in our country. Among those are the coaches who are committed to their Lord Jesus, their families, their teams and friends. If we had more like them standing in the gap and doing their job well, we could change this nation . . . and the world!
Fred Di Palma is a difference maker. Here are his thoughts:
I have been a member of two or three COIN Fellowship Groups over the past 20 years. For me the COIN groups have always meant fellowship, Bible study, and accountability. As a coach sometimes you feel like you’re going through things by yourself but there are so many other men that are dealing with the same issues. It’s great to be a part of a group of coaches that can relate to what you’re going through and look to God’s word for advice.

Summer offers many opportunities. Hope International University (HIU) has hired Shawn Contos to coach their newest sport, wrestling. Shawn is a solid believer that wants to build the COIN fellowship with assistance from Sam Hieronymus (former Olympic wrestler).
COIN has several leadership teams working to elevate the ministry in different areas. We thank God for these committed men. We’re developing a method to get more coaches actively involved on their campuses and connected to the local church. It will be more convenient and accessible.
It was a reality check when a good friend’s son, who had the same ailment as my first wife, just went to Heaven. Praise God he knew Jesus. It causes us to STOP and consider if we are sharing the good news to our dying world. (Psalm 90:12) Preach the gospel friends, and sometimes use words!
Your prayers, encouragement and support are crucial to us in the daily battle against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. (I Corinthians 15:57)
